Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University is a public university serving La Union, a coastal state on Luzon island north of the capital city, Manila
It is is named after the patriarch of one of the Philippines’ defining political dynasties.
The campuses are spread over a total area of 1120 hectares inherited from its predecessor institutions.
Schools of agriculture, education, information systems, aquaculture and forestry, veterinary medicine, arts and science, engineering, management, law, criminal justice, fisheries, community health and allied sciences are spread across the North campus in Bacnotan, Middle campus in San Fernando and a South campus which crosses the city boundaries of Agoo, St Thomas and Rosario.
