Chandrakasem Rajabhat University was originally founded in 1940 as Chandrakasem Teachers College. In 1991 the college was recognised by the Ministry of Education as an outstanding educational institution. The following year it became a Rajabhat Institute and in 2004, after attaining university status, was renamed Chandrakasem Rajabhat University.
The university is located in the Chatuchak District, just north of Bangkok, Thailand.
The university consists of five faculties: faculty of education, faculty of agriculture and biology, faculty of humanities and social sciences, faculty of science, and faculty of management science. Each faculty is organised into different departments, which offer a range of undergraduate degree programmes.
There is also the graduate school, which has been operating since 1996. It offers both master’s and doctoral degree programmes to students looking to further their studies.
Students at the university are given the opportunity to study abroad as part of the student exchange programme. They may study for one or two semesters at one of the university’s partner institutions across the globe. The university has developed partnerships with other higher education institutions in countries such as China, Malaysia, and Vietnam.
