CEU Cardenal Herrera University, a private university located in Valencia, Spain, is one of the campuses of CEU Universities.
It has five faculties: Health Sciences, Veterinary Science, Law, Business and Political Science, Humanities and Communication Sciences and the ESET Technical School of Engineering. It has opened several research projects in collaboration with the Valencian government, including topics such as the neural effects of consumption of drugs and alcohol, diseases such as leukaemia and diabetes and drug design and the internet.
There are three campuses to CEU-UCH: Moncada (13km from Valencia), Elche (Alicante) and Castellón, which features a new medical school building in a town an hour away from Valencia and near Benicàssim, which hosts the annual festivals of Rototom Sunsplash and Festival Internacional de Benicàssim FIB.
Over 10,000 students attend CEU-UCH, of which 30% are international students that come from over 70 countries. The Rotary Diary is the university’s monthly newspaper and it also has a fully functioning 12 hour daily radio station Radio CEU and a TV channel.
CEU-UCH hosts regular sports competitions such as golf, football and volleyball tournaments as well as internal university games several times a year with all of the different schools competing. Other sports clubs available at the university include aerobics, gym, yoga, tennis, diving and tai chi among others.
