The Centurion University of Technology and Management was founded in 2005 as the Jagannath Institute for Technology of Management, located in Odisha, India.
The institute was renamed to Centurion University in 2010 becoming the first multi-sector state private university in Odisha.
Focusing on teaching, training, production, and community engagement, the university uses experiential learning and practice-linked pedagogy to teach its students.
Several academic programmes are offered at Centurion University, from undergraduate to postgraduate, doctoral, diploma and certificate levels. These programmes are offered within the university’s many schools, which include: engineering and technology, agriculture, fisheries, applied sciences, agriculture and bio-engineering, media and communication, management, pharmacy, paramedics and allied health sciences, forensic sciences, and vocational education and training.
There are four campuses at the university: Paralakhemundi, Bhubaneswar, Balangir and Rayagada. Across these campuses are a range of facilities such as a swimming pool, sports centre, gymnasium, bank, café, library and cricket ground.
Students at Centurion University are encouraged to enhance their learning experience with practical knowledge through the Career Development Cell. This is a platform for students to network with local businesses and apply for placement opportunities. The Cell offers training in soft skills, logical reasoning, and verbal aptitude to ensure that students are equipped for the world of work.
