Founded in 1950, Beijing Technology and Business University (BTBU) is based in the capital city of China, Beijing.

BTBU was founded based on the merging of Beijing Light Industry School, Beijing Business School and the Administration School for the Ministry of Machinery Industry.

The university is spread across two campuses; Fucheng Road Campus (downtown campus) and Liangxiang Campus with easy and convenient transportation in Beijing City.

At BTBU, students can gain both undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral degrees within a wide variety of faculties, including: science, food and chemical engineering, materials science and mechanical engineering, computer and information engineering, economics, law, foreign languages, art and communication, Marxism, physical education and business.

On campus, students will find a library, on campus housing and sports facilities.

The university also has partnerships with other universities worldwide offering students the chance to spend a year studying abroad. These partnerships have also paved the way for faculty exchange and advanced research opportunities. BTBU has links with 81 top universities in countries and regions such as Australia, Brazil, Canada, Finland, France, the United Kingdom and the US

BTBU and Hertford College, Oxford University have had a long-term relationship since 2006. A short-term programme has been designed for BTBU students and teachers to spend several weeks of intensive study on Oxford campus and city tours. Courses and seminars are provided on different areas of education including teaching skills, business language and culture.

While back in Beijing, BTBU offers international students a series of classes and activities, specifically focusing on Chinese traditional culture. Courses include Chinese ink painting, Chinese medicine and acupuncture and dumpling-making class.
