Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University is a non-profit, public university officially established in 1996.
The university is named after Somdet Chao Phraya Borommaha Sri Suriyawong, an important Thai figure from the 19th century.
The university is located in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand.
There are six faculties within the university: science and technology, education, management science, humantieis and social sciences, music, engineering and industrial technology. Each faculty is divided into different departments which offer a range of undergraduate degree programmes.
There is also the graduate school, which opened in 1998 and offered just three courses: graduate certificate programme in teaching, master of education administration, and master of arts in social sciences. Today, the school offers 14 master’s and seven PhD degree programmes, as well as a graduate diploma programme for teacher training.
For mature students, and those looking for a more flexible approach to studying, the university offers both evening and weekend classes.
