The Anglo-American University was originally established in 1990 as the Anglo-American College. It was the first private institution in the Czech Republic to use English as the primary teaching language.
The university is located in Prague, the capital and largest city in the Czech Republic.
There are five schools of study at the university: business administration, iIInternational relations and diplomacy, humanities and social sciences, journalism, media and visual arts, and law. Each school is divided into different departments, which offer a range of both undergraduate and graduate degree programmes.
Research at the university is carried out in four main areas: policy analysis, transnational processes, transnational history and iIInternational affairs.
The university has developed partnerships in more than 35 countries across the worldglobe including Malaysia, New Zealand, Bulgaria, France and Germany. Students are given the opportunity to study abroad in any one of these countries as part of the university’s academic exchange programmes. These programmes also give international students the chance to study at the university for a semester or a full academic year.
