Almaarefa University was established in 2009 in Riyadh, the Dariyah Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The university has three main colleges: medicine, pharmacy, and applied sciences, across which 10 bachelor of science undergraduate degrees are offered. The degree programmes range in duration from four to six years, most with a one-year internship included.
Four-year courses include: computer science, information systems, industrial engineering, health information systems, respiratory therapy, emergency medical services, anesthesia technology, and nursing. The five-year courses include pharmacy, and the six-year course is medicine and surgery.
There are several requirements to study at Almaarefa University, including an 80-90 per cent GPA, as well as English language skills proven through the Oxford test or equivalent. Students must also take a general aptitude test and scholastic achievement admission test before admission.
The university is located in Saudi Arabia’s capital city, Riyadh, located in the middle of the An-Nafud Desert.
