AECC University College is a specialist health sciences university, offering education, research, clinical and consultancy services. It was established in 1965.
The university is located in Bournemouth, a seaside resort town in the south of England.
The university offers courses in five main areas: chiropractic, sport, exercise and health sciences, psychology, medical imaging and radiography, and rehabilitation. Within each subject there are a range of both undergraduate and graduate degree programmes available for students to study.
Some 40 per cent of its students are international and travel from across the globe to study at the university. The AECC University College Global Partnership Scholarship is available to international students enrolling on the university’s undergraduate courses who meet certain criteria. It provides a £3000 fee reduction for the first year of study.
As a science-based university, research is an important part of AECC’s activity. It aims to support positive sustainable environments and improve communities by working alongside other universities and professional organisations at both national and international level. Research is mainly carried out in the School of Rehabilitation, Sport and Psychology, the School of Radiology, and the School of Chiropractic.
