Ada Kent University, sometimes known colloquially as Kent University, is located in Famagusta on the east coast of Cyprus. It was founded in 2015 by Avrupa Educational Group, renowned for its higher education provision in Istanbul.
The university calls itself a "City University", which focuses on integrating students from all over the world into the local and global society.
The university has seven faculties, a vocational school and 29 undergraduate and associate degree programmes. The faculties include: administrative, economic and social sciences; dentistry; education; engineering and architecture; health sciences; law and pharmacy. Ada Kent University strives to integrate its students into society with communication skills and strong social ties, and aims to become a pioneering university in applied sciences.
Students also have access to 24 student clubs from academics to sports to art. Academic clubs include paramedic club and business club. Students can also get involved in sports from trekking to football to scuba-diving, where they can meet students with similar interests and engage in competition. Arts clubs range from music, photography, pop dance and cinema club, where students can practice skills to take with them into the world of work.
Ada Kent University hosts students and staff from over 25 different countries, offering a diverse and rich learning experience. To prepare students for English courses, the university has a Foreign Language and Preparatory School, specialising in English proficiency.
Famagusta is a harbor city with a population of almost 70,000, and is home to three international universities. It is known for its sandy beaches, arts and culture festival and deep history.
