Accra Technical University has been one of Ghana’s 10 technical universities since it gained university status in 2016.
It was founded as a technical school in 1949, became the Accra Technical Institute at independence in 1957, was renamed as the Polytechnic in 1963, and began offering degrees in 2007.
Students can study across a range of subjects including business, engineering and applied science.
