The Times Higher Education China Subject Ratings are the only performance tables that judge Chinese institutions against their global peers based on the Chinese Ministry of Education’s classification of subjects.
The ratings for literature reveal performance in two subjects: foreign language and literature; and media/communications/journalism.
In total, 883 universities worldwide receive a rating for at least one subject in the literature pillar.
Overall, 117 universities achieve an A+ grade in one or both of the literature subjects, including Peking, Tsinghua, Fudan, Shanghai Jiao Tong and Zhejiang universities in mainland China.
If you would like to discuss the results of the ratings, contact Sophia Li, THE’s regional director of Greater China, at Sophia.Li@timeshighereducation.com.
