Lessons from the US(2)

Barry Sheerman is correct that we can learn from US universities on access initiatives and financial support for poorer students. Tuition fees and loss of grants means we must refine recruitment strategies and seek funding. But we also must make our system more flexible and user-friendly for students who may work and will need a lot of support.
