I dispute the accusation (Letters, THES, January 12) that Universities UK has worked against the provision of legislation to protect people with disabilities. I am on record as welcoming its introduction.
But it would be irresponsible of me not to have drawn attention to the considerable extra costs associated with the legislation and to my concerns that these may not be fully funded.
That investment is crucial to the realisation of the more inclusive society that Skill: National Bureau of Students with Disabilities and Universities UKare both working for.
