The story on the renewal of authorised validating agency licences by the Quality Assurance Agency (News in Brief, THES, February 16) implies that the licence for the Open College of the North West is "provisional" until certain conditions have been met. All conditions were addressed several months ago, and the QAA confirmed the renewal of our licence last October.
