The University of Paris-Saclay has launched a smartphone app to help incoming international students and researchers create a personalised plan to navigate the bureaucratic red tape involved in moving to France.
The app pulls together and personalises all the information an international student or scholar will need to comply with French regulations. This includes the different types of visa and residence permits required, and the documents to be provided alongside proof of health coverage during the first few months in France.

The tool, which was developed by the French university, can now be downloaded and will soon be updated to integrate new countries and services.
Students can personalise the app by selecting their country of origin, the length of their stay in France and their language preference (French or English).
The university currently welcomes about 10,000 international undergraduates, doctoral students, researchers and teachers, representing 59 nationalities.
