Fasa University of Medical Sciences was established in 1977 and is located in Fars, Iran. It gained university status in 2007.
Fasa University of Medical Sciences has medical, paramedical, health and nursing schools. Students can study at a number of different fields within these schools including internal medicine, radiology, medicine, nursing, laboratory sciences, anesthesia, surgical technology and public health. Master's degrees are available in physiology, biochemistry, food safety and hygiene, medical surgical nursing and biotechnology.
The university also has a medical information centre, a gymnasium, six training halls, three conference halls, one amphitheatre,17 classrooms,11 laboratories, one meeting room, seven educational units as well as two active teaching hospitals, three clinics and two research centres.
The university has a number of medical facilities such as: MRI scanning, 16-Slice CT scan, open heart surgery centre, angiography, advanced and well-equipped surgery rooms, bone density testing, colour Doppler ultrasound, dental clinic, blood and oncology clinics, health centre for traditional medicine, and urban and rural health services.
