Building on the future

Graham May alerts us to the teaching of soft approaches and scenario building in Leeds Metropolitan University's masters degree in foresight and future studies (THES letters, December 5).

Here at the University of Western England the information systems field of the computer studies and mathematics faculty provides such input on several undergraduate degrees, notably the BA in systems analysis, BA in business information systems, BA modern languages and information systems and BA information systems and social sciences.

Several universities offer masters degrees with the sort of content that Perri 6 wishes to see more of. As far as I am aware only UWE, Leeds Metropolitan and the Open University offer it at undergraduate level.
