GSM London has announced two appointments. Chris Gale, formerly at the University of Bradford, and Rona O’Brien, formerly head of department at Sheffield Hallam’s business school, have joined as deans of the Faculty of Social Science, Law and Technology, and Business and Management, respectively.
Carol Harrison, professor in theology and religion at Durham University, has been appointed to the Lady Margaret professorship of divinity at the University of Oxford. She will take up her position on 1 January 2015.
Colin McInnes has been appointed James Watt chair, professor of engineering science, at the University of Glasgow. Professor McInnes is currently director of the advanced space concepts laboratory at the University of Strathclyde.
Anglia Ruskin University has appointed Richard Andrews deputy vice-chancellor for research, scholarship and development. Professor Andrews was formerly dean of the Faculty of Children and Learning at the Institute of Education, University of London.
Lynda Brady has been made Edge Hill University’s new pro vice-chancellor for the student experience.
